Using Technology to Facilitate Fidelity Assessments: The Tele-STAR Caregiver Intervention
Allison Lindauer, Glenise McKenzie, David LaFazia, Loriann McNeill, Kate Mincks, Natasha Spoden, Marcella Myers, Nora Mattek et al.. Journal of medical Internet research, 2019-05-24
Topic: Health services, long-term care and technology
Tele-STAR reduced caregiver burden and retained good program and treatment fidelity to STAR-C. We found Tele-STAR reduced caregiver burden and had good fidelity to the original protocol. Assessing fidelity is a complex process that requires incorporation of these procedures early in the research process. The technology used in this study facilitated the accrual of informative data about the fidelity of our translated intervention, Tele-STAR.

How this study scored 46/100
Published in a peer-reviewed journal. Scored zero for study design, effect reported and randomised / blinded because the record does not state it. We have no data on journal's citation record, times cited, citations per year, impact for its field and year, cited by studies here, still being cited, senior author's track record, institution's track record, multi-centre collaboration and free to read, so those were left out: it earned 26 of the 56 points we could judge it on, which is 46 out of 100.
