Anti-Amyloid-Antikörper: Ein Meilenstein in der Behandlung der Alzheimer-Krankheit: Kontra
Janine Diehl‐Schmid. Psychiatrische Praxis, 2025-05-01
Topic: Amyloid, tau and blood-test diagnosis

Why it matters
This commentary argues against accepting anti-amyloid antibodies as a milestone, questioning whether drugs with minimal effect and in some cases severe side effects should be given to patients. It calls for pursuing a therapy that has unquestionably clinically meaningful effect.

How this study scored 29/100
Published in a peer-reviewed journal. Scored zero for study design, sample size, effect reported, studied in people and randomised / blinded because the record does not state it. We have no data on institution's track record, so that was left out: it earned 28 of the 97 points we could judge it on, which is 29 out of 100.
