Dementia care in eight European countries: developing a mapping system to explore systems
Hallberg IR, Leino-Kilpi H, Meyer G, Raamat K, Martin MS, Sutcliffe C, Zabalegui A, Zwakhalen S et al.. Journal of nursing scholarship : an official publication of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, 2013-09-11
Topic: Risk, prevention and care in population studies
The mapping system appears useful from a nurse manager's standpoint for exploring the dementia care pathway. Comparisons between countries appear useful for developing the care system and for sharing information of how to perfect it. Further testing and development are needed regarding information on the availability and utilization of care and service activities. Clinical relevance The mapping system can be useful in clarifying the dementia care system for those concerned, in helping nurse researchers and managers review and initiate evaluation and communicate with policy makers, as well as to ensure that providers use appropriate parts of the system. It can also be useful in national and international comparative studies.

How this study scored 36/100
Published in a peer-reviewed journal. Scored zero for study design, sample size, effect reported, studied in people and randomised / blinded because the record does not state it. We have no data on journal's citation record, times cited, citations per year, impact for its field and year, cited by studies here, still being cited, senior author's track record, institution's track record and multi-centre collaboration, so those were left out: it earned 21 of the 58 points we could judge it on, which is 36 out of 100.
