A community-based computerised cognitive training program for older persons with mild dementia: A pilot study
Yea-Ing L Shyu, Chung-Chih Lin, Yam-Ting Kwok, Hann-Yeh Shyu, Li-Min Kuo. Australasian journal on ageing, 2021-05-26
Topic: Health services, long-term care and technology
Participants in the experimental group had better overall subjective memory, subjective retrospective memory and global quality of life, with fewer depressive symptoms than those in the control group 3 months following the program. Our computerised cognitive training program improved subjective memory and quality of life in patients with mild dementia and decreased their depressive symptoms. These results may be useful for health-care providers caring for people with mild dementia.

How this study scored 77/100
Published in a peer-reviewed journal, and it is a randomised controlled trial. Scored zero for effect reported because the record does not state it. We have no data on journal's citation record, times cited, citations per year, impact for its field and year, cited by studies here, still being cited, senior author's track record, institution's track record, multi-centre collaboration and free to read, so those were left out: it earned 43 of the 56 points we could judge it on, which is 77 out of 100.
