- 332peer-reviewed
- 1993–2026years published
- 55median usefulness score out of 100
These counts and lists are worked out from the library itself each time the page loads. A score rates how much weight a study can bear — its design, journal, evidence and recency — not whether its result is good news. The study type is the one each record states; a record with no stated design is not counted here.
The 20 highest-scoring
- Safety, tolerability, immunogenicity, and efficacy of ABvac40 active immunotherapy against Aβ40 in patients with mild cognitive impairment or very mild Alzheimer's disease: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2 study
- Japanese participant data from three gantenerumab trials in early Alzheimer's disease
- TRAILBLAZER-ALZ 4: A phase 3 trial comparing donanemab with aducanumab on amyloid plaque clearance in early, symptomatic Alzheimer's disease
- Randomized, double-blind study of zervimesine in mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease
-
Two phase 3 trials of bapineuzumab in mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease
In two large phase 3 trials, the anti-amyloid antibody bapineuzumab given to people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease produced no significant difference from placebo on the main measures of cognition and daily function. This means the drug did not work as hoped in these patients, and it is not a treatment for Alzheimer's disease.
- A phase 2, randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of S-adenosyl methionine in participants with mild cognitive impairment or dementia due to Alzheimer's disease
- Safety and efficacy of pioglitazone for the delay of cognitive impairment in people at risk of Alzheimer's disease (TOMMORROW): a prognostic biomarker study and a phase 3, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial
- Blarcamesine for the treatment of Early Alzheimer's Disease: Results from the ANAVEX2-73-AD-004 Phase IIB/III trial
- Japanese Subgroup Analyses from EMERGE and ENGAGE, Phase 3 Clinical Trials of Aducanumab in Patients with Early Alzheimer's Disease
- CSF biomarker concordance with amyloid PET in Phase 3 studies of aducanumab
- CSF proteomics of semorinemab Alzheimer's disease trials identifies cell-type specific signatures

Amyloid-Related Imaging Abnormalities With Donanemab in Early Symptomatic Alzheimer Disease: Secondary Analysis of the TRAILBLAZER-ALZ and ALZ 2 Randomized Clinical Trials
This analysis of donanemab trials found that amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA) are an adverse event associated with donanemab treatment that requires safety monitoring. Several baseline factors were linked to higher or lower risk of ARIA-E.

Amyloid-Related Imaging Abnormalities in 2 Phase 3 Studies Evaluating Aducanumab in Patients With Early Alzheimer Disease
This report describes amyloid-related imaging abnormalities in two phase 3 studies of aducanumab in people with early Alzheimer disease. The provided text does not include information on whether aducanumab affected cognitive or functional outcomes.
- Safety and efficacy of long-term gantenerumab treatment in dominantly inherited Alzheimer's disease: an open-label extension of the phase 2/3 multicentre, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled platform DIAN-TU trial
- Lecanemab for treatment of individuals with early Alzheimer's Disease (AD) who are apolipoprotein E ε4 (ApoE ε4) non-carriers or heterozygotes
-
Two Randomized Phase 3 Studies of Aducanumab in Early Alzheimer's Disease
EMERGE and ENGAGE were two randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 trials of aducanumab, an antibody against clumped forms of amyloid beta, in people with early Alzheimer's disease, run at 348 sites in 20 countries. The authors set out to evaluate the drug's "efficacy and safety", but the text held here describes only the design and aims and reports no results, so this page cannot tell you whether aducanumab helped or what side effects it caused. Read the original paper for the findings.

Trial of Solanezumab for Mild Dementia Due to Alzheimer's Disease
This double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 trial tested the humanized monoclonal antibody solanezumab, designed to increase clearance of soluble Aβ from the brain, in patients with mild dementia due to Alzheimer's disease. Participants had MMSE scores of 20 to 26 and amyloid deposition shown by florbetapir positron-emission tomography or Aβ1-42 measurements in cerebrospinal fluid.
-
Tilavonemab in early Alzheimer's disease: results from a phase 2, randomized, double-blind study
This phase 2 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial tested the anti-tau antibody tilavonemab at three doses against placebo in patients with early Alzheimer's disease over 96 weeks. The available text does not report whether tilavonemab affected the primary endpoint.
- Safety, efficacy, and tolerability of memantine for cognitive and adaptive outcome measures in adolescents and young adults with Down syndrome: a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2 trial
-
Efficacy and safety of oral semaglutide 14 mg (flexible dose) in early-stage symptomatic Alzheimer's disease (EVOKE and EVOKE+): two phase 3, randomised, placebo-controlled trials
In two Phase 3 trials of 3,808 participants, oral semaglutide showed no significant difference from placebo in clinical decline on the main measure, and Novo Nordisk ended its Alzheimer's program for the drug after this result. Some biomarker reductions did not translate into any detectable slowing of cognitive or functional decline.
