Topic: Amyloid, tau and blood-test diagnosis

Why it matters
This systematic review examines neuroinflammation as a therapeutic target in Alzheimer's disease, covering microglia, astrocytes, inflammatory pathways, and strategies such as microglial modulation and immunotherapy. It concludes that direct clinical evidence remains limited by biological heterogeneity, lack of standardized biomarkers, late intervention, and limited translation, so no treatment is established.

How this study scored 29/100
Published in a peer-reviewed journal. Scored zero for study design, sample size, effect reported, studied in people and randomised / blinded because the record does not state it. We have no data on senior author's track record, so that was left out: it earned 28 of the 96 points we could judge it on, which is 29 out of 100.
